FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: tip of the gas-oxygen lance has a central nozzle and peripheral laval nozzles. The central nozzle includes a lower cylindrical portion and an upper conical portion, and an inlet cylindrical portion may be further provided at the top. A groove is made in the central nozzle and at least in one of the peripheral laval nozzles by means of a single-start helical thread, which depth and width are equal to 0.03-0.06 of the laval nozzle critical section diameter, and opening angle is 20-50°. The groove in the central nozzle is formed on inner surface of the lower cylindrical section with cut pitch from 1/3 to 1/2 of its length. The groove in the laval nozzles is formed on the inner surface of expanding section with cut pitch equal to its length. Both design and non-design laval nozzles can be used.
EFFECT: increase of blowing intensity, reduction of its duration with simultaneous reduction of spray formation, increase of metal surface oxidation, reduction of gas-discharge path deposition, increase of gas-oxygen lance tip resistance.
