FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, method is used in oxygen-conversion production during metal smelt blowing from top through oxygen lance in particular. SUBSTANCE: according to method of metal smelt blowing critical section of nozzle is adjusted by changing of mounted in nozzles separable fittings-on with critical sections, that provide required gas-dynamical characteristic of blowing through sprays. Oxygen lance used for method realization has tip with connected to path of oxidating gas feeding split nozzle. Split nozzle has fixed in butt part tip of diffuser and smoothly conjugated with inner surface of diffuser inlet area of shortened separable Laval nozzle, diffuser part of which is mounted in ring-type groove of diffuser inner surface, and its shape is identical to shape of diffuser. In ring-type groove area on inner and outer surface of diffuser there are corrugation forming canals to compensate longitudinal deformations of nozzle. Inner corrugation forming canals are overlapped by diffuser part of shortened Laval nozzle. EFFECT: improved process. 2 cl, 2 dwg
