FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: presented system consists of a nuclear reactor installed on a housing, on a vibration isolation system, and pipelines of an emergency cooling system. The vibration isolator is made in the form of a cylindrical spring, which consists of two parts with oppositely directed ends, one part of which has turns of rectangular cross-section, and the other part of the spring is hollow, while the counter-directed end of the first part is located in the cavity of the second one. The segment profile gaps of the contacting spring parts are filled by antifriction grease. The gaps in the first part of the helical spring are made with coils of a rectangular cross-section, which is covered by a tube of damping material. The gaps are filled with crumb of the friction material.

EFFECT: creating a highly effective vibration isolation of a nuclear reactor.
