SUBSTANCE: muffler comprises a cylindrical base, an ejector, a leveling grid on which a sound-absorbing unit is fixed comprising a sound-absorbing material layer, with perforated cover lined inside, wherein the sound-absorbing unit consists of separate sections connected in series, single sound absorbers are arranged in each section in layers, in the upper part of the muffler there is a screen-type element including a cylindrical shell connected to the cover at the top and consisting of a perforated layer and a sound absorber, at that the exhaust holes are made in the form of slots made along the shell periphery and are lined with sound-absorbing material, the single sound absorbers are made in the form of two concentric three-dimensional surfaces of regular polyhedrons, at that one of the surfaces is perforated and the other one-the inner one is continuous, and a sound-absorbing element is arranged in the space between the surfaces, wherein the surfaces are connected to each other by means of at least two bushings performing functions of helmholtz resonator necks formed by a cavity inside solid surface of regular polyhedron, the sound-absorbing element of the muffler is in the form of three layers: the central layer is made of a sound-reflecting material, a complex profile consisting of uniformly distributed hollow tetrahedrons and symmetrically adjacent sound-absorbing layers of different density materials.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise suppression.
