FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method for diagnosing the technical state of an underground pipeline is based on the measurement of 36 sums of field components and of 36 gradients of a constant magnetic field using 8 three-component permanent magnetic field sensors located at the tops of a cube of near-pipe space using a system of at least four magnetic induction converters, each of which consists of two three-component coaxial sensors of a constant field with axial symmetry. The system also includes two three-component sensors of an alternating magnetic field.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy and sensitivity of the method for diagnosing the technical state of underground pipelines, increasing the accuracy of binding the measurement results to the location of the pipeline, increasing the reliability and accuracy of separation of the fields of defects and interference fields.
