FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement from earth's surface length of linear part of underground pipeline. Essence of the invention is that pixel array having GPS coordinates of centimeter range of accuracy is obtained, selection of pixel array by criterion of equality of phase angle of operating current of generator is carried out, selection of points from the number of remaining ones having maximum amplitude of working current of the generator is carried out, approximations of pixel array of analytical curve is carried out, where least-square method is used as mathematical tool; coefficients of three-dimensional equation of coordinates of the pipeline in global coordinate system is calculated; lengths of underground part of the pipeline according to position of its axis in global coordinate system are determined, which reduces to calculation on a computer of the length of segment described by analytical equation.
EFFECT: improving reliability and accuracy of measuring the lengths of linear underground part of pipeline when determining volume of products in the pipeline.
