SUBSTANCE: hair styling device includes a body, a rotating element, a movable panel, a guide piece. The body forms a chamber, adapted to accommodate strands of hair in it. The chamber has a main hole through which a strand of hair can pass into the chamber. The rotatable element is adapted to cooperate with a hair string disposed adjacent to the main opening, the rotating element is provided with a leading edge that, when used, rotates around an elongated element for winding a strand of hair onto the elongated element. The movable panel is movable relative to the main opening between the open position and the closed position. The guide piece is located outside the chamber and is adapted to guide the hair strand to the main opening when the movable panel is in the open position, the rotating element being rotatable with respect to the guide piece and the guide part movable relative to the body and movable relative to the movable panel.
