SUBSTANCE: vehicle engine control device with an electric fuel pump, a fuel pressure sensor, an electric motor starting the internal combustion engine and an electric storage device comprises an electronic control unit configured to: control the electric feeding pump based on a value determined by the fuel pressure sensor; control the electric motor starting the internal combustion engine and control the electric feeding pump and the electric motor. The electric storage device supplies electric power to the electric motor, giving preference to the electric feeding pump when the first electric power is less than the determined threshold value. The first electric power is the power that the storage device is capable of producing at the engine starting moment.
