SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hybrid vehicles. Hybrid vehicle comprises engine, a rotary electric machine, particulate filter and electronic control unit. This unit controls the hybrid vehicle in any of the control modes plurality, which includes charge consumption mode and charge maintaining mode. Number of possibilities for the engine operation, when control mode is the charge maintaining mode, is more than number of possibilities for the engine operation in charge consumption mode. Control unit also controls the hybrid vehicle in the charge maintaining mode when the filter is in the regeneration process. In the event if the charge maintenance mode was selected before the filter regeneration was required, charge maintenance mode is maintained during the filter regeneration process, until the filter regeneration process is completed.

EFFECT: improving the filter regeneration process reliability.
