VEHICLE'S GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION DETERMINATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01C21/18

Abstract RU 2631401 C2

FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: inertial unit for fixing the rotating unit of the vehicle, articulated to its power equipment comprises at least one acceleration sensor and/or at least one magnetometer configured to determine the angle of the rotating element tilt and/or at least one counting device configured to determine the number of rotations of the rotating element, and two gyro configured to determine the direction of the rotating assembly of the rim to provide level information mation about the angles to determine the position. The data of the first gyro is multiplied by a series of sines, and the data of the second gyroscope is multiplied by a series of cosines. Both series are selected in such a way as to provide the most accurate representation of the series of values of the accelerometer, and that the sum of the series is zero with the greatest possible accuracy. A device comprising a plurality of inertial sensors that is attached to a vehicle is also proposed. The specified inertial unit implements the corresponding method for determining the coordinates of the vehicle.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to determine the coordinates of vehicles with high accuracy.
