SUBSTANCE: technical solution relates to the field of computing. The technical result is achieved through a system for immersion in virtual reality, which contains: a motion capture controller containing an array of infrared LEDs; two inertial modules connected to one bus based on the SPI data transfer protocol. The inertial modules consist of a three-axis microelectromechanical (MEMS) accelerometer, a three-axis magnetometer, a three-axis MEMS gyroscope, and a microcontroller; an interface board configured to carry out primary processing of the received data and carry out sequential interrogation of each inertial module and transfer the received data to the computing device. The inertial modules also have an image display device.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of data transmission when tracking user movements and when a minimum delay takes place between detecting a change in the user's position in space and displaying the corresponding image on the display device.
