FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: inductively connected magnetic resonance local radio frequency coil for the prostate gland includes, at least, two connected electrically conductive circuits and an interface device. At least, two connected electrically conductive circuits are tuned to receive the components of the magnetic resonance RF signal along the axis of the subject located in the main magnetic field (B0) orthogonal to the axis of the subject, and to generate one or more currents indicating the received components of the magnetic resonance signal. The interface device, connected to, at least, two conductive circuits, transmits measurements of one or more currents to the signal processing system.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating a coil operating in the main field orthogonal to the axis of the subject, detecting field components parallel to the subject axis, implementing an open access to the coil design, and providing a variety of the coil operating modes.
