FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: using: for magnetic resonance imaging. Summary of Invention is that system for magnetic resonance imaging contains a magnetic resonance imaging antenna, containing numerous frame antenna elements with numerous sensors infrared thermometry. Antenna magnetic resonance imaging made with the possibility of location next to the external surface of the subject and at least part of the above-mentioned numerous sensors infrared thermometry directed to the external surface. Magnetic resonance imaging system further comprises a memory containing computer-executable commands and pulse sequence commands. Computer-executable instructions force the processor controlling the system: to acquire magnetic resonance data, controlling the magnetic resonance imaging system using pulse sequence commands; re-measure at least one surface temperature of the subject using the aforementioned numerous infrared thermometry sensors during the acquisition of magnetic resonance data; and perform a predetermined action if at least said one surface temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature.

EFFECT: technical result: providing the ability to prevent overheating of the subject during magnetic resonance imaging.
