SUBSTANCE: borehole sealant assembly for use in the blast-hole element sealant groove comprises a swelling elastomeric sealant positioned in the groove of the sealant and is expandable when in contact with a specific fluid and a support member located in the axial groove of the sealant between the swelling elastomeric sealant and the axial end wall sealant groove. The support member comprises surface irregularities extending the support member radially outwards when compressed by a swellable elastomeric seal in the axial direction.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the well sealant.
