SUBSTANCE: communication network includes a radio access network including a base station serving the user equipment and a wireless network including wireless access points. A set of available wireless access points is selected from the wireless access points based on the network information associated with the radio access network resources, the core network portion resources, and/or the wireless network resources. The wireless access point information associated with the characteristics of the set of available wireless access points is generated for use by the user equipment to access the available wireless access points. The network entity transmits the wireless access point information through the base station to the user equipment. The information of the wireless access point includes rules and conditions for use by the user equipment when determining an available wireless access point for accessing.

EFFECT: efficient provision of dynamic wireless AP information to the UE, which optimizes available network and wireless access resources.
