Proposed technology provides methods and corresponding network nodes, computer programs, media containing such computer programs, and a computer program product, as well as devices for supporting carrier aggregation between different radio access networks.

EFFECT: such tight interaction / aggregation of radio access networks introduces new requirements for efficient processing of protection and authentication issues.
