Method comprises the steps of: determining whether the first cell supports the first network that serves the terminal device, the interworking function of the networks; and modify the operation of the terminal device with respect to the interworking function of the networks, if it is determined that the first cell does not support the interworking function of the networks.

EFFECT: technical result is the implementation of flexible and efficient mechanisms for accessing networks for terminal devices.
