During the first dispersion hardening process, active cooling is carried out so that the temperature of the second portion (330, 424, 524, 628, 722) of the workpiece, separated from the first portion of the workpiece by the cooled portion, is maintained below the artificial aging temperature to maintain the unchanged structural state of the second workpiece portion.
