FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for producing sodium salt of (2S, 5R)-2-carboxamido-7-oxo-6-sulfooxy-1.6-diazabicyclo[3.2.1]octane (of the formula 
(I), comprising: (a) reacting a compound of the formula 
(II) with a 1-hydroxybenzotriazole: ammonia complex in the presence of water as a solvent to prepare a compound of the formula 
(III); (b) hydrogenolysis of a compound of the formula (III) to obtain a compound of the formula 
(IV); (c) sulfonating a compound of the formula (IV) to obtain a compound of the formula 
(V) and (d) converting a compound of the formula (V) to a compound of the formula (I).
EFFECT: ease of implementation, low fire hazard.
