SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a racetrack winding from a current-conducting tape consisting in winding a current-conducting tape on a mandrel, wherein during the winding process at constant tension of the current-conducting tape on rectilinear sections, each turn is pressed against the pole core by pressing elements; the tape is directly wound on the pole core without gluing the winding turns together; when using HTSC-2 tape, its junctions and transition from layer to layer are placed on the rectilinear part of the winding.

EFFECT: simpler and cheaper process for manufacturing windings from a current-conducting tape without gluing to ensure a dense winding of the product, a cheaper process.
