SUBSTANCE: synergistic herbicidal composition comprises a herbicidally effective amount of (a) a compound of formula 
(I) or an agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof and (b) an ACCase inhibitor, wherein (b) is at least one compound or agriculturally acceptable salt, carboxylic acid, a carboxylate salt or an ester selected from the group consisting of: clethodim, clodinafop-propargyl, cyhalofop-R-butyl, diclofop-methyl, fenoxaprop-p-ethyl, fluazifop-p-butyl, haloxyfop-R-methyl, metamifop, pinoxaden, profoxydim, quizalofop-p-ethyl, sethoxydim and tralkoxydim, where (a) and (b) are present in the composition at a ratio in which the composition exhibits synergism and wherein the ratio of (a) to (b) is from about 43:1 to about approximately 1:140.
EFFECT: increasing the effectiveness of combating undesirable vegetation.
