FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of preparing a catalyst for a hydroforming process of diesel distillates containing an active component which contains nickel, molybdenum and phosphorus oxides dispersed on an aluminum oxide support obtained by impregnating the carrier granules with an impregnating solution containing molybdenum compounds, nickel, phosphorus and citric acid in distilled water, characterized by that nickel compound used is hydroxide and/or nickel oxide. Invention also discloses a method for hydroskimming diesel distillates, which is carried out using a catalyst prepared by the method described above.
EFFECT: more environmentally friendly and technologically simple method of preparing NiMo hydroforming catalysts; providing production of diesel fuel with residual sulfur content of less than 10 mcg/kg and density of not more than 0,845 g/cm3 from mixtures of straight-run diesel fraction with catalytic cracking gasoil (up to 30 wt%), without significant reduction of output of target fraction.
