SUBSTANCE: synergistic herbicidal compositions are proposed, containing (a) a compound of the formula (I)

4-amino-3-chloro-5-fluoro-6-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-3-methoxyphenyl)pyridine-2-carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof or agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof, and (b) a synthetic auxin herbicide, for example 2,4-D, aminocyclopachloride, aminopyralide, clomprop-P, clopyralide, dicamba, dicloprop-P, flucoxypyr meptylheptyl ester (MHE), MCPA, MCPB, piclore, chinclorate, triclopyr and galaxifen-methyl (methyl 4-amino-3-chloro-6-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-3-methoxyphenyl)picolinate) or agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof.
EFFECT: suppression of undesirable vegetation, for example, in areas with direct sowing, planting in water and planting seedlings of rice, cereals, wheat, barley, oats, rye, sorghum, corn/maize, sugar cane, sunflower, oilseed rape, canola, sugar beet, soybean, cotton, pineapple on pastures, hayfields, pastures, fields under steam, lawn grasses, in arboreal and vineyards, aquatic plants, plantations of crops, vegetables under industrial control of vegetation or on diversion strips.
