SUBSTANCE: method of station scanning (STA) in a wireless communication system has been developed. The method comprises: transfer of a sounding request frame with a zero data batch, NDP, over the first channel. The NDP sounding request frame includes an STF field (short training field), an LTF field (long training field), and a SIG field (signal) without a data field, and the SIG field includes a compressed service set ID field (SSID); and performing a scan on the first channel if, in response to the NDP sounding request frame, a sounding response frame is received from the access point AP on the first channel.
EFFECT: effective scanning performance in preventing power loss.
