SUBSTANCE: each reference vector image is assigned a unique identifier; each electronic file of the reference vector images is converted into a predetermined format containing vector primitives; for the mutual arrangement of primitives, hash values are computed; hash values and reference document identifiers fill the database; the electronic file of the analysed vector image is converted into a predetermined format identical to the reference one; a subset of the plurality of pairs of the image primitives is selected; for each pair, a hash value is computed; the calculated hash values are searched in the database, and a list of documents is created, containing the computed hash values and a list of ranking factors for each such document; the degree of coincidence with the analysed document is calculated according to a predetermined rule; an array of the found identifiers of reference vector images is returned, for which the relevance threshold is exceeded.

EFFECT: expanding the arsenal of technical means by identifying vector-like vector images.
