FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: gas electrode sensor (10) with the housing (20), the working electrode (51), the counter electrode (52), and the reference electrode (53). The housing (20) has the electrolyte tank (30), the gas inlet (21) and at least one gas outlet (22) and wherein the electrolyte tank (30) is filled with the liquid electrolyte (40), the invention provides, that the gas sensor (10) has the counter electrode holder (26). The counter electrode (52) is suspended at the counter electrode holder (26) in such a way, that it hangs in the electrolyte tank (30) and is washed from all sides by the electrolyte (40). The electrolyte preferably consists of the solvent, for example water, propylene carbonate, ethylene carbonate or mixtures thereof; the conductive salt, in particular the ionic liquid; and/or the organic mediator, for example, substituted quinones or anthraquinones.

EFFECT: invention provides the gas sensor, that has the measurement sensitivity as high as possible, the signal stability as good as possible under the long-term loading or the cross-sensitivity as low as possible.
