FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves the pyrolysis of biomass under pressure, in which pyrolysis of biomass is carried out using microwave radiation in combination with plasma, and the carbon residues are treated after pyrolysis using plasma. The pyrolysis device includes a pyrolysis furnace, a feed system, a cyclone separator. A plurality of inlets for microwave radiation and an interaction portion for the plasma torch are provided in the lower part of the pyrolysis furnace. A slag accumulation tank is provided at the bottom of the pyrolysis furnace. The inlets for microwave radiation and the interaction portion for the plasma torch of the pyrolysis furnace are distributed in several layers. Each layer is placed at the same distance. The interaction portion for the plasma torch is located below the microwave inlets and above the liquid level in the slag accumulation tank. The direction of the plasma jet in the plug connector of the plasma torch is within the microwave field at the microwave inlets.
EFFECT: synthesis gas does not contain resin, the subsequent purification process is simple, without pollution of the environment, with a high degree of the carbon conversion.
