FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: for studying biochemical processes in the inner part of the soil aggregate, the enzymatic activity comparison of the internal and peripheral soil aggregate parts is carried out. The water-saturated aggregates are divided into two parts. In one of the parts, with undisturbed structure, the enzymatic activity of the peripheral aggregate part is determined. The other part is crushed, and the enzymatic aggregate activity is determined in general. The enzymatic activity of the aggregate core is determined by the difference between the first and the second parts.
EFFECT: studying the humus formation processes allows to determine the enzymatic activity inside the soil aggregate without the time-consuming procedure of mechanically separating the peripheral aggregate part from the core.
