SUBSTANCE: downhole drilling engine comprises a housing disposed in the drill string, a power clutch disposed within the housing and operatively associated with the drill bit, and the power clutch has a spiral-lobed, elastomer-coated inner surface and rotatable with respect to the outer housing, a blade shaft disposed within the power clutch, and the shaft has a spiral-lobed outer surface, and an anchor assembly adapted to be meshed between the blade shaft and the housing for limiting the rotation of blade shaft relative to the housing in such a way that the flow of fluid through downhole drilling engine causes the power clutch rotation with respect to the housing and the blade shaft.
EFFECT: reduction of downhole equipment wearing.
