SUBSTANCE: gas generator comprises a tubular body with a closed bottom and an open opposite end closed by a plug used for installation of an igniter, as well as an oxidant and fuel which is in mixed state inside the body. The body of the tubular shape from the side of the open end is provided with an outer screw thread, the plug is made in the form of a cap or cover with an inner screw thread for screwing it onto the body, at that a circular projection is made inside the cap or cover on its bottom surface, at least partially deepened in the cavity of the body open end and adjoining to the inner wall surface or enclosing the body open end for sealing the body cavity. The igniter is fixed on the cap or cover with output into the body cavity in the center of the annular projection of its working part which is coated or covered with material resistant to the action of fuel.
