FIELD: fire-fighting equipment; applicable in control of integrity of the body of gas generator of household aerosol fire extinguisher. SUBSTANCE: method of control of integrity of gas generator is based on the use of organoleptic features - odor, taste, color, consistence and noise of the fuel or some other substance accommodated in the cavity of body of gas generator, the sensations caused in this case are considered to be unpleasant. Use of organoleptic substances as ingredients of fuel, pyrotechnical mixture or compounds used in gas generator are recommended for the purpose. Odor substances are recommended in form of merkaptans and odor attractors with putrid odor; test substances in form of preparations of quinine and chemical compounds based on denatonium benzoate; painting or dyeing substances in form of those which present stable difficult for washing-off paints on hand skin in contact with fuel such as dies of the indigoid class - rhodamine, brilliant green, etc; used as substances which change fuel consistency in case of integrity failure of the body and hampering the use of the fuel outside of the gas generator are hygroscopic salts of sodium such as sodium oxalate, nitrate, chlorate, perchlorate and others. The gas generator realizing the offered method accommodates in its body fuel and a compound of organoleptic hygroscopic substance with possibility of motion and producing noise in shaking. When consistency of compound changes from initial solid to amorphous spreading out in wetting, body integrity is controlled by the nature of noise or its absence in shaking of gas generator.
