FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: electric vehicle with a combined energy storage device comprises a traction motor having the ability to be connected via a traction converter to the contact network or battery cells, a connecting unit configured to parallel and sequentially turn on the batteries when charging and discharging, respectively. Herewith the connecting unit comprises two battery cells connected in series via the first mechanical switch, the first and the second current limiters, and two capacitor banks connected in series via the second mechanical switch. The first diode is connected in a series circuit between the batteries. The second and the third diodes are connected by the anodes to the second terminal of the first current limiter, and by the cathodes - to the positive terminals of the first battery and the first capacitor, respectively. The fourth and the fifth diodes are connected by cathodes to the second terminal of the second current limiter, and by the anodes - to the negative terminals of the second capacitor and the second battery, respectively.
EFFECT: increasing the service life of the energy storage device of an electric vehicle.
