FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the vehicles electrical traction systems. Diesel locomotive converter with power plant comprises inverter consisting of controller and six transistors assembled in three half-bridges consisting of series-connected pairs of transistors. Each half-bridge and minus circuit of the inverter are connected to a power plant in the form of an energy accumulator, which includes a battery in series connected to throttles, or a diesel-generator plant. Note here that said power plant is made up of detachable module. At the same time connection to power plant is performed by means of quick-detachable connectors, through which three phases and minus bus of inverter are connected. Inverter controller is also connected to quick-disconnect connector. Inverter is configured to operate both in frequency converter mode when operating with diesel-generator plant, and in mode of step-down-step-up converter of direct current.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of versatility and multifunctionality of converter of traction locomotive.
