FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of synthesizing mineral-like matrices for the isolation of radioactive substances includes mixing of liquid radioactive waste with ceramic materials and solidification of the resulting mixture. The ceramic-forming material is a mixture of potassium dihydrogenphosphate (32-42) wt %, magnesite (technical magnesium oxide), annealed at a temperature of (500-550)°C (13-20) wt %, and water (20-30) wt %.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the technological process of synthesizing a mineral-like matrix while simultaneously immobilizing radioactive waste therein.
