FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: device for laser ignition of fuel-air mixture in an internal combustion engine has a laser plug having a metal body, an insulator and an optical fibre passing along the axis of the spark plug and connected to pumping unit, installed inside the plug, and a focusing lens. The focusing lens is made with the possibility of axial movement, an annular cavity is made between the insulator and the optical fibre, in which the holder is mounted, on the end of which there is a focusing lens, and the holder is connected to its relocator connected to the pulse generator, the relocator is made in the form of a piezoelectric element, the piezoelectric element is connected to the pulse generator by means of electric connections through an additional electrode and an insert, the device additionally contains a control unit connected to the pump unit and to the pulse generator by electric connections.

EFFECT: improved completeness of fuel combustion due to its ignition in volume and reduction of emissions of harmful substances.
