FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: device contains an electric field source connected to the on-board power source, high-voltage electrodes connected to the outputs of the electric field source. The device is located behind the exhaust manifold and is designed as a vortex ejector containing a vortex chamber with a tangential nozzle twist device and an electric discharge chamber with high-voltage electrodes. The electrodes are installed on the outer end wall of the slotted confuser. The vortex chamber is connected to a tangential nozzle twist apparatus and an outlet nozzle communicating with the atmosphere. The tangential jet nozzle contains two inlet branch pipes, one of which is connected to the exhaust manifold, and the other branch pipe is located on the end wall, in the axial zone, coaxially with the central axis of the vortex chamber, with an outlet that is smaller than the diameter of the vortex chamber and connected to electric discharge chamber of the vortex type with a tangential nozzle twisting device, made in the form of an axisymmetric slot confuser connected in the peripheral part with the atmosphere. In the axial part of the slit the confuser is interfaced with a branch pipe that opens into the vortex chamber.
EFFECT: effective cleaning of exhaust gases by using their potential energy.
