FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, mainly to automotive industry, relates to means for exhaust systems of internal combustion engines (hereinafter ICE) and allows to optimize combustion process of fuel-air mixture in cylinders of internal combustion engine of carburettor, diesel, gas type. Device for exhaust system of internal combustion engine includes housing having inner cavity equipped with inlet for gas flow and outlet for gas flow. Inner cavity of the housing contains a gas flow swirler. Gas flow swirler is made in the form of vortex sections, each vortex section includes two parallel discs rigidly fixed to each other and tangentially located blades. Hemisphere with a hole in the centre is rigidly fixed to the first vortex section on the inlet side. Hole of the hemisphere has a conoidal shape. Gas flow outlet is made in the form of a Laval nozzle. Vortex sections are rigidly fixed to each other and to Laval nozzle.
EFFECT: higher reliability of device due to absence of movable parts, high strength due to rigid attachment of elements to each other and housing.
