FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: when implementing the method, testing of a steel beam with a corrugated wall is carried out without destroying by a set of individual quality indices, estimating their values by means of statistical control. To do this, the geometric dimensions of the welded I-beam elements of the steel beam, the heating scheme for a hazardous section of the welded I-beam element of the steel beam under the standard fire resistance test conditions, the conditions for securing its ends; the heating perimeter length of the welded I-beam element section, the value of the test load and the intensity of the force stresses in the section of each welded I-beam element by the steel corrugated wall of the beam are determined. The description of the resistance process of the welded I-beam element of the steel beam to the high-temperature impact of a standard test is represented by a mathematical relationship that takes into account the effect of the intensity of the force stresses in the section of the welded I-beam element of the steel beam from the action of the test load and the reduced metal thickness of the cross-section of the welded I-beam element of the steel beam with a corrugated wall. The fire resistance limit of the steel beam with a corrugated wall is determined by the duration of the fire impact resistance of a welded I-beam element, which is the weakest in the static and thermal terms.
EFFECT: possibility of determining the fire resistance of a steel beam with a corrugated wall without full-scale fire impact, increasing the reliability of non-destructive tests, reducing the metal consumption for manufacturing a steel beam, accelerating the testing.
