FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: exhaust gas cooling system for internal combustion engine contains a catalytic converter (20) for cleaning exhaust gases installed in an exhaust channel (9) the internal combustion engine (1), a cooling module, a heat transfer portion, a curved section (9b), and a heat-suppressing portion (12a, 13a). The cooling module, which is an adapter (10), is arranged to cool the exhaust channel (9) before the catalytic converter (20). The heat-transmitting portion, which is a gasket 11, is designed so that transfer of heat between an outlet passage after the place cooled by the cooling module and the cooling module is prevented. The curved section (9b) is in the outlet channel (9) between the heat-transfer portion and the catalytic converter (20). The heat-suppressing portion is arranged in the curved section (9b) and arranged to suppress the radiation of heat transmitted from exhaust gases flowing in the curved section (9b) into the atmosphere around the curved section through the walls of the channel curved section forming the curved section. The curved section (9b) includes an inner curved section having a relatively small radius of curvature and an outer curved section having a relatively large radius of curvature in cross-section including a central axis in the longitudinal direction of the discharge channel. The heat-suppressing portion (12a, 13a) is formed on the inner curved section and on the outer curved section. The heat-suppressing portion (12a, 13a) is formed so that the heat radiation suppression capability of the heat-suppressing portion of the inner curved section is greater than the heat radiation suppression capability of the heat-suppressing portion of the outer curved section. The versions of the exhaust gas cooling system are disclosed.
EFFECT: suppression of the exhaust gas temperature decrease in operation of the internal combustion engine in low-load region, when the temperature of the exhaust gas at the time of exhaust from the internal combustion engine is relatively low.
