FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system and method for monitoring and reporting a content of a standard component contained in a compressed natural gas (CNG) product, to transfer a product to a consumer and enable selection of a specific protocol associated with the requirements of a particular situation. Method for generating at least first and second methane numbers for transmitting compressed natural gas to consumer comprises an initiation step, by means of at least one processor, program procedure, which generates at least a first field and a second field. Analysing device is selected by means of the first field. Method includes selecting a protocol for calculating a methane number by means of a second field for use according to its purpose. Transfer of product to consumer is controlled by means of analysing device made with possibility to measure composition of compressed natural gas. Data are received from the analysing device from at least one processor, the data reflecting analysis of the sample of compressed natural gas from the product transfer to the consumer. Medium composition of compressed natural gas is determined depending on obtained data during period of product transfer to consumer as first field. Set of installed processes is determined for generation of methane number compatible with analysing device. Selecting the first established process from the set of processes corresponding to the first selected methane number generation protocol. Second established process is selected from the set of processes corresponding to the second selected protocol of generation of methane number. Using at least one processor, first installed process to obtained data from analysing device, to calculate first methane number depending on selected methane number generation protocol. Using at least one processor, second installed process to obtained data from analysing device, to calculate second methane number depending on selected second protocol for generation of methane number. First and second methane numbers are compared with predetermined threshold values. Fuel is corrected from compressed natural gas depending on comparison.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining of proper fuel quality before engine operation.
