FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method of mass-spectrometric analysis of gaseous substances includes feeding the analyzed gas mixture to the ionization zone, ionization of the components of the mixture by exposing the photons flux or particles in the gaseous medium, and feeding the formed ions by applying an electrostatic field to the mass analyzer. The analyzed mixture, directed against the ion flow of the analytes, is used as the gas medium, the ion feeding to the mass analyzer is carried out at electrostatic intensity values within 0.1 V/cm-20 sq/cm. Ionization of the components of the mixture is realized by the flow of photons and/or ions and/or atoms in the metastable state generated by the laser plasma, the electron flow generated by the radioactive source or accelerator, the flux of photons generated by the laser or ultraviolet radiation source, for example, a krypton lamp, particles and atoms flow in a metastable state, generated by the electrospray of a liquid that does not contain the analytes, a flow of charged particles and atoms in a metastable state generated by a corona discharge. The feeding of the analyzed gas mixture to the ionization zone is performed with the possibility of filtering the analyzed mixture from solid and liquid particles with a flow rate in the ionization zone of at least 1.4 cm/sec, and a mass spectrometer or an ion mobility spectrometer is used as the mass analyzer.
EFFECT: sensitization of the mass-spectrometric analysis of gaseous substances, as well as the duration and stability of the device.
