FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: processing device for the command tracing contains: the instruction tracing unit (IT) configured to: receive the indication of the change in the current execution mode in the processing device; determine, that the current execution mode corresponding to the received indication is different from the execution mode value, contained in the first execution mode (EM) data packet, previously generated by the IT module; and generate, based on the difference in the current execution mode, the second EM data packet, providing the value of the current execution mode in the processing device to indicate the change in the instruction execution mode on the path, generated by IT module.

EFFECT: avoiding the errors and failures, when changing the execution mode during the commands execution due to the commands tracing, taking into account the execution mode.
