SUBSTANCE: three-dimensional angle blank with an overlapping connection, and a method for forming a three-dimensional angle blank with an overlapping connection comprising a woven flange with at least one shelf which extends from the flange. The shelves may comprise an independently woven portion which allows for the formation of an angle without tacking the shelf or adding additional reinforcement. Independently woven parts may contain base fibers which are not woven into the blank.
EFFECT: unwoven area allows to remove part of the shelf before forming an angle, enabling the overlap of the shelf parts and formation of a lap joint.
