SUBSTANCE: proposed embodiments of the invention allow the selection of a detection signal (DS) used to identify the eNB node for the UE receiving the DS signal. This DS signal allows the UE to verify presence and/or identify the cell ID of the eNB node. The DS signal contains several other signals, such as a primary clock signal (PSS), a secondary clock signal (SSS), a cell specific reference signal (CRS), and/or a channel status information reference (CSI-RS). The detection signal (DS) event comprises several subframes in which the selected signals having a DS signal are transmitted. The selection of the signals selected for the DS signal, their characteristics and properties allow the UE to decode the cell identifier. The event of the detection signal (DS) occurs at a specified periodicity.
