FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel polyorganosiloxane compositions hot vulcanized to form organosilicon elastomers, i.e. vulcanized at a material temperature that is generally in the range of 100 to 200°C and, if necessary, can reach up to 250°C. Composition C for use in insulating materials comprises (A) 100 parts by weight of, at least, one polyorganosiloxane polymer A containing in the molecule, at least, two alkenyl groups C2-C6, connected with the silicon atom; (B) 0.1 to 250 parts by weight of, at least, one mineral B selected from the group consisting of a mixture of hydromagnesite with a gross formula Mg5(CO3)4(OH)2·4H2O and khantite with the gross formula Mg3Ca(CO3)4; (C) 0.00001 to 0.02 parts by weight or 0.1 to 200 million-1 based on the weight of the metallic platinum with respect to the total weight of the composition C of, at least, one heat stabiliser D, which makes it possible to improve the resistance of the organosilicon elastomers to decomposition by the temperature above 800°C and selected from the group consisting of platinum and compounds of platinum, complex compounds of platinum and mixtures thereof; (D) hardening component E in an amount sufficient for curing the composition. The invention also relates to the use of these compositions for the manufacture of casings or primary insulating layers that are part of the structure of fireproof electrical wires or cables. In a final aspect, the invention relates to fireproof electrical wires or cables that are manufactured using these compositions.
