FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in the claimed method, each of the cryogenic fuel targets is placed in the carrier, and the carrier is advanced along the transport channel to the controlled inertial fusion synthesis zone. The carrier is made using a superconducting material, and a magnetic field is formed in the transport channel to allow the carrier to levitate above the surface of the transport channel.
EFFECT: non-contact delivery of cryogenic fuel targets to the chamber without the risk of stopping the carrier, damage to the KTM from heating, risk of contamination of the reactor chamber atmosphere by the moving gas.
