FIELD: controlled thermonuclear fusion; production of fuel including target with condensed fuel layers. SUBSTANCE: transparent cryogenic layer is produced from hydrogen isotope maintaining its transparency upon warming up to temperature between 5 and 16-20 K. New process has been developed for producing this cryogenic layer inside microspheres involving high-speed hardening of finely dispersed liquid phase in dope environment.
