FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method includes production of flat billet from melt containing wt %: <0.3 Si, ≤0.5 Fe, ≤0.3 Cu, 1.0-2.0 Mn, ≤0.5 Mg, ≤4.0 Zn, ≤0.5 Ni, ≤0.3 of each of the elements of group IVb, Vb or VIb, unavoidable impurities and aluminium is the rest, heating at temperature below 550°C, hot rolling, cold rolling with total reduction of at least 90%, heat treatment with production of a band with conditional yield point by 10-50% below the conditional yield point of the band produced immediately after cold rolling, and in the range of 100-200 Mpa. Alternatively, the band can be produced by two-roll casting of the band.

EFFECT: production of aluminium band having high strength after high temperature soldering in combination with high resistance to deflection and low susceptibility to incorporation of liquid core during high temperature soldering, and good formability in delivery state before formation of ribs.
