FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is a topical formulation for subcutaneous fat reduction, containing latanoprost, isopropyl myristate and petrolatum, wherein the concentration of isopropyl myristate is 1 to 20% w/w. The invention provides a more efficient delivery of latanoprost, has better spreadability, is easier to mix and disperse from the container as compared to the formulation based solely on petroleum jelly.
EFFECT: composition is well tolerated without causing skin or eye irritation, and is physically and chemically stable.
