SUBSTANCE: battery module includes battery module case with parts made of plastic and several prismatic cells of the storage battery, which have a cell case with four side walls. Two parallel side walls are larger than both other side walls. The electrolyte of the battery cells is preferably based on SO2. The battery module case (2) comprises a cooling system with a flow structure (32) and a fluid coolant. The flow structure (32) is in hydrodynamic communication with a coolant inlet (11) and coolant outlet (12) of the battery module case (2). Between two adjacent elements (5) a partition (13) of plastic is disposed substantially parallel to the large side walls (7) of the battery cell (5) of the battery pack. A channel (31) of the flow structure (32) at least partially extends in the partition (13) and is formed by a recess (33) of the partition (13) which is open at least to one adjacent side wall (7) of storage battery cell (5). Between the side wall (7) the storage battery cell (5) and the partition (13) a plastic separating layer (38), which material is preferably different from material of the partition (13), and its thickness is less than thickness of the partition (13) is arranged so that the channel (31) of the cooling system formed by the recess 33 is closed by the plastic separating layer (38).
EFFECT: improved heat transfer of the plastic separating layer and improved uniformity of cooling of the battery module.
